Why is DallasISD Superintendent Allowed to Stay?

Did anyone pay attention to the Lancaster ISD mess? $1.5 million
Supt. Dr. Lewis had to go!
Not even the tax payer is requesting Michael's removal...$84 million.
What is so special about Michael?
Why are we allowing Michael & Company to hang around and play with the books. They should have been fired within hours and banned from entering any office on Ross. We will never know the real deal.
How does the board allow him to work on cleaning up a $84,000,000
mess? Sounds like they all have something to hide.
But the incompetence is going to be difficult to hide...
Get an Interim and tell Mike to take a hike!

get rid of him
Hinojosa has handled crisis after crisis in the same way.
Massive pcard theft: assurances to the public that the money would be paid back.
Reality: pcard offenders are promoted.
Too much central bureaucracy. Promise: delayering.
Reality: more political friends are put on the dole.
Grading scandal after grading scandal. Promise: clean house
Reality: Lawyers clean the taxpayers' pockets. OPR hides the truth. More lawyers.
Massive deficit: leaves no paper trail. This is the true sign of a sociopath.
Consequences: none, other than firing an employee that was his choice.
Calls for his termination are greeted with his arrogance of having 5 board members in his pocket. Someone, we believe Hinojosa, arrives with the solution of extending their board terms.
This time, if they try, there will be legal consequences from the state of TEXAS.
TEA is well aware that way too many things stink in this district, and they are assembling their choices of solutions.
First priority: FRAUD AUDIT
" First priority: FRAUD AUDIT"
I agree with AUDIT; but Dr. Hinojosa STAYS...
Why is Dallas ISD Superintendent Allowed to Stay ?
Lets look at this Economic Crisis like Our Newly Elected President of the USA.
The Economic Crisis was Created over an 8 year Span.
The Newly Elected President Didn't DO it. It was the Previous
Administration.
Here in Dallas ISD ? The Economic Crisis was Created Over a 30 Years Span.
It was NOT Created by this Superintendent.
It has been said by me: Just because the Superintendent was caught
behind the Bus in the Muddy Ditch; It doesn't mean he Drove the Bus there,
my friends.
This Superintendent is trying to get the Disrict out of this Muddy Ditch and Clean it too.
Sabe Amigo ?? It's Not the Driver's Fault...It's the Human Resourse Dept.,
Accounting Dept., and the Payroll Dept...
I'm No Genius; but I can see WHO created the Mess...and WHO is trying
to CLEAN-UP their behind with the Superintendent.
Mere Speculation but… $1.35 billion Is a Guess!
Could the answer as to why the Dallas supe is not gone be $1.35 billion?
As controlling as he seems to be about everything else, could it be that the reason the Dallas supe is not gone yet be because of final say-so over the $1.35 billion bond money like he has say-so and overrules the principal selection panel? Just how will that work? Please don't quote DISD policy. Wasn't that flushed down the toilet when Jose Mayo was the board member over that?
Could it be that the businesses associated with board members are lined up to divide the $1.35-billion pie? Could it be that THAT is the reason why he is not gone? Just asking.
Has anyone looked at the good business folks who have volunteered to help the DallasISD. You remember, they were introduced at the first rally with the motivational “superfantastic” speaker. Do any of them have construction companies or ties to same? Somebody else check. I found one! Aren’t there 15 schools to be built for a dwindling DISD enrollment? Isn’t the DISD down somewhere between 50,000 and 80,000 kids?
Could the "money to be made vs. ruined lives" be why the District One trustee seemed so gleeful and seemed to be actually laughing when he was interviewed on Channel 8 the night of the lay-offs? Could $1.35 billion be why the board president so emphatically states that the supe is not going anywhere? Could that be why the ethics policy is a joke? Things that make you say hmmmm!
An interim sounds like a good idea. Just finished reading Peyton Wolcott.... not that interim, not the one mentioned there! Uno es Gonzales. Dos es Rojas. Tres es Hinojosa. NO MAS!!!! Besides, the interim is reportedly coming from the same place as Gonzales. Is that a breeding ground for more of same?
Can we get an Asian? Native American? Ethiopian? Italian? Hungarian? How about another African-American? We have only had one of those. Anybody but...
Let somebody else ruin things for a while. Gracias!
It seems that the LancasterISD Board president asked for TEA to step in. Good for him! LISD wanted to avoid looking like inept, incompetent buffoons. There was supposed to have been some "bad blood" between the prez and the supe in LISD. Dallas does not seem to be that lucky! It seems that if the Dallas prez was on the up-and-up, the request for the confidence-vote-meeting would have been scheduled long before the request was made!
Your trustee's who voted him in would have egg on their.........
faces if they had to ask him to leave now. Next election , make a better decision as to who sits on the board. Seven of the trustee's have no backbone to stand in the way of the current mess.
DallasWAy
This is the Dallas way of doing things.
TEA never chastises the biggest potential employer of all those TEA administrators. Dallas ISD cheats, steals, lies, and has money go missing.
All that happens is a photo opportunity for Flo. Hinojosa chastises the commish and let's Scott know who is really in charge.
It's darned sure the taxpayers aren't.
Unfortunately
Unfortunately, this is the Dallas way by default. Nobody consciously sets out to cheat, steal, lie and so on. It comes about because our district is so large and the talent pool so small. Actually, the talent pool is fairly deep but few talented educators want to jump from the small pool to the larger. For Dallas schools to succeed the best and the brightest have to be the best and the brightest 24/7. Since we don't have the best and the brightest across the board the shortcomings become evident quickly and the priority becomes keeping the job, rather than doing the job. What is accepted as unethical behavior by the public is generally motivated by overwhelmed individuals trying to keep their heads above water for just a little longer.
Baloney
So the PCard thieves couldn't read the manual that said don't buy WalMart gift cards and then cash them in? Don't buy memory blankets?
Who do you think you are kidding?
This district is too large by design. There is a segment of employees, attorneys, vendors, trustees, friends of all of these, and family members who prefer it just the way it is. Where else could a person steal on district credit cards and get promoted? Where else could all the members of a family find such lucrative employment.
The system as it is works for these folks, and they drive hundreds of decent teachers and some principals out of this district every year.
They don't need to worry, because home valuations are stuck on high in Dallas, and until the credit market unfreezes, so are taxes.
This isn't by accident. DISD doesn't have an annual fest of corruption because of random events. This district serves the purpose of several hundred people who make millions off it every darned year.
Trustees are either too stupid to ask the right answers or are in on it through jobs and patronage.
Kids get a weak education because this district only serves the needs of some very evil people.
...on wheat or rye?
Have it your way.
