Quote of the Week: Nancy Bingham

Regarding the possible upcoming "no-confidence" vote:

"I think it's nothing more than an attempt to embarrass Dr. Hinojosa," trustee Nancy Bingham said of the call for a vote. "There are many, many positive things going on in the district academically. Dr. Hinojosa has clearly raised that bar, but these trustees are not looking out for what's best for kids. They're looking out for adults."

It's interesting that Bingham feels that looking out for adults and kids is mutually exclusive.

Election

We need to find someone to run against Bingham. She said that we were lucky to have Hinajosa and other people all over the country want him. I wish he would go there. Ms. Bingham is NOT there for her students or for her schools.

2010

Her election is in 2010. Will she run unopposed?

Regardless of what you think about the superintendent, I am concerned that Samuell could follow the path of Spruce. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Samuell on the watch list for closure?

Dogs Can run

People will nominate and vote for dog before they vote for Nancy Bingham again.

Samuell will meet the same fate as Spruce if their score don't rise dramatically this year.

Bingham the Bigot

Nancy B. is a rube. She thinks southeast Dallas is still white folks driving F-150's. That is why Spruce got shafted royally. Her lack of professionalism, overall working knowledge and committment to excellence is embarassing. I think it was Ron Price that tried to bring up her use of the "n word" during her last election. Don't get me wrong, he is as big a putz as she, but now I am wondering if there might be some truth to his allegations regarding her disparaging comments and racial slurs.

Nancy Binghams comments

How can watering down the grading policy be "raising the bar" for students? I know this first hand because I have 3 children and the DISD ranging from 1st to 7th grade and they all are very aware that they get second chances to take tests so what does it matter if they study or not. I do not see this as raising the bar for our students. All I see it is another way to "enable" our kids to become lazy failures.

well said...

Couldn't agree more. Those new rules about grades are lowering expectations. In a way, it is telling our kids that they are not worth the effort. How are they to function in the real world with these kinds of policies??
No accountability! seems to be a trend in DISD admin!!

Mutually exclusive

Of course it’s mutually exclusive. As far as I've been able to tell, the only people who matter in the district are the admins (adults) who singlehandedly are causing all the good aspects of the district, and the students (kids). Seeing as frequently benefiting one hurts the other, and that there are absolutely no other adults employed by the district that would benefit if the kids benefit, then yes, it is mutually exclusive.

Bingham Is A Bad Joke

How would Bingham have a clue as to what is going on in the district academically? When has she last visited any of the schools in her area? Last time we looked, the majority of them were barely treading water.

So, Nancy, Spruce went under while you sat and yacked it up with Flores. Seagoville and Samuel are barely functioning, one with crumbling infrastructure and AU and the other AU3, maybe AU4 this year.

We know Florence Shapiro showed up and made gleeful remarks about the academic progress made in the district. She wasn't referring to your schools, and we doubt Flo has a clue about the real shape of other campuses, especially after RIFFing teachers.

What adults are these trustees looking out for, Nancy?

By the way, Bingham, exactly where did that $84M go while you never asked a SINGLE question about the budget? And you sat there and approved of another hunk of expenditures when you don't have accurate figures for this year.

There is not a single part of the job description of trustee that your meager mind can understand.

Nancy Bingham--Kool-aide drinker

Nancy not only drinks the Hinojosa kool-aide but eats the stale cookies too. Nancy is a disappointment and blind Hinojosa follower. When she show-up in her pajamas and crocs to the board meetings, she simply parrots whatever the Broad Toads tell her to believe. It's a shame she can't allow her closed mind to see that she is being used and will be voted-out of office. Yup, Nancy is not the brightest penny in the fountain. I bet she even thinks that Sarah Palin is a great choice for VP.
